| Mandatory Fire Drills EHS - Fire Safety Programs will conduct fire drills in the Southside Dining and the Aquatic & Fitness Center the week of November 23 - 27. The drills are required by code and times are unannounced. All employees, students and visitors who are in the buildings at the time of the fire drill are required to evacuate. | Changes to the Thanksgiving Week Shuttle Schedules Prince William/Fairfax Shuttles • On Wednesday, November 25 the Prince William Shuttles will run their regular schedules until 12:00 noon. The 12:00 noon departures will be delayed until the final departures at 12:15 pm. • No further service until Monday, November 30 (regular Monday schedule). Green and Gold Circulators • On Wednesday, November 25 the final departure from Sandy Creek on the Green Circulator will be at 12:20 pm. The final departure from the West Campus on the Gold Circulator will also be 12:20 pm. • No service on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. • One bus will resume the regular Sunday schedule on Sunday, November 29. Field House Express • On Wednesday, November 25 the Field House Express will run the regular schedule until 12:30 pm. • No further service until Monday, November 30 (regular Monday schedule). Metro to Mason Shuttles • On Wednesday, November 25 the Mason to Metro and the Metro to Mason shuttles will run their regular schedules until 12:00 noon. The 12:00 noon departures will be delayed until final departures at 12:15 pm. • No further service until Sunday, November 29 (regular Sunday schedule). Gunston’s Go-Bus • On Tuesday, November 24, Gunston’s Go-Bus will run their regular schedules. • There will be no service on Wednesday, November 25 nor Thursday, November 26. • On Black Friday, November 27, special bonus service will begin at 6:00 am on both routes, running through 2:00 am. • Regularly scheduled service will resume Saturday, November 28. |

They Can Meet with a Tutor Online As the semester progresses, students have less and less time to meet in person with a Writing Center tutor. To help students get the assistance they need, the Writing Center wants to remind you about our Online Writing Lab (OWL) services. And, students can now sign up for an OWL session just as they would for a face-to-face session in the Writing Center, choosing the date and time of the appointment. 2009 White House Holiday Ornaments Available in the Johnson Center The Child Development Center (CDC) will be selling the White House Holiday Ornaments in the Johnson Center, Atrium. The CDC is holding the cost of the ornament to the same amount as last year at $20 each. This year's ornament is a depiction, under President Cleveland's term, of a snowy evening with the first White House tree to have electric lights. Each ornament comes in a blue gift box, ready for wrapping. The CDC was honored this year by being named a 2009 Top Daycare Center by Northern Virginia magazine. Help support the CDC's great work and get a head start on your holiday shopping. |

Holiday Concert Collecting Toys for the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter Winter Wonderland Charity Concert
Hear your favorite holiday music and help the needy at next Monday’s Charity Toy Concert. Several musicians from the Mason community will be featured, as well as group caroling. A representative from the shelter will also speak. Admission is one new toy or a monetary donation. All proceeds will go to the Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter. This workshop for faculty and staff who work with budget and financial activity provides an overview of the University's Banner Finance system and chart of accounts. New SUPERvisor Series: The ABCDs of Public Speaking. This course in the new SUPERvisor series focuses on four primary issues related to public speaking: the Audience, the Build, the Content, and the Delivery.
